Integrative Healing

Healing is not a straight line and for many people, it doesn't happen in a chair.

Integrative healing brings together time-honored, body-aware practices that work with the whole person, not just the mind, not just the body, but the relationship between the two. At Wellhouse, we offer a range of expressive and movement-based modalities that give your healing somewhere to go beyond the traditional therapy room. These sessions are available as standalone services, so you don't need to be in talk therapy to benefit from them.

Whether you're drawn to the rhythm of movement, the stillness of meditation, the release of touch, or the expression of art; there is something here for you.

Our integrative healing services

Dance & Movement Therapy — Movement is one of the oldest forms of human expression and one of the most powerful. Dance and movement therapy uses intentional, guided movement to help process emotions, release stored tension, and reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe and freeing. No dance experience or ability is required. This isn't about performance; it's about presence.

Yoga Therapy — Different from a yoga class, yoga therapy is a one-on-one or small group practice tailored specifically to your physical and emotional needs. Drawing from breathwork, posture, and mindfulness, yoga therapy helps regulate the nervous system, build body awareness, and create a sustainable sense of calm. It meets you exactly where you are, no flexibility or prior experience needed.

Massage Therapy — Touch is a fundamental human need, and therapeutic massage goes far beyond relaxation. Our massage therapy is offered through a trauma-informed lens, meaning your comfort, boundaries, and pace are always the priority. It can help ease chronic physical tension, support nervous system regulation, and provide a profound sense of being cared for, something many people rarely allow themselves.

Meditation — In a world that rarely slows down, learning to be still is a skill and a genuinely transformative one. Our guided meditation sessions help you develop a personal practice that fits your life, building the capacity to observe your thoughts and feelings without being overwhelmed by them. Suitable for complete beginners and those looking to deepen an existing practice.

Art Therapy — You don't need to be an artist for art therapy to work. Using drawing, painting, collage, and other creative processes, art therapy provides a non-verbal outlet for emotions and experiences that are hard to put into words. It's particularly effective for trauma, grief, and anything that feels too big or too tangled to simply talk about.

What integrative healing can help with

Trauma & PTSD — Anxiety & stress — Depression — Chronic pain — Body image & self-esteem — General wellness & prevention — Burnout & exhaustion

These modalities are effective on their own and can also complement other work you may be doing; whether that's with a therapist, a doctor, or simply your own commitment to feeling better.

What to expect

Each integrative healing session at Wellhouse is led by a trained practitioner in a calm, private, and welcoming environment. Your first session will always begin with a brief conversation about what you're hoping to get from the experience, any physical considerations, and what feels comfortable for you. Nothing is ever forced or rushed.

Many people find that integrative healing reaches parts of themselves that words alone couldn't access. Others simply find it a meaningful way to invest in their own wellbeing. Both are equally valid reasons to begin.

Not sure which modality is right for you?

That's completely okay. Reach out and we'll help you figure out where to start; sometimes the right fit is simply the one that sounds least intimidating.
