Marriage & Family Therapy
Every relationship goes through seasons. Some are filled with connection and ease; others bring tension, distance, or pain that's hard to put into words. Whether you're navigating a rough patch as a couple, working through a major family transition, or trying to rebuild trust after something difficult, marriage and family therapy offers a space where everyone in the room gets to be heard.
At Wellhouse, we work with couples and families at all stages and in all configurations: newlyweds and long-term partners, divorcing spouses, blended families finding their footing, parents and children struggling to connect, and families carrying the weight of grief together. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every couple is different. Every family system is unique. So, we tailor our work to fit the specific dynamics, history, and goals of the people in front of us.
Our role isn't to take sides or assign blame. It's to help you slow down, understand each other more clearly, and find a way forward that works for everyone involved.
What we can help with
Couples & marriage counseling — When communication has broken down, intimacy has faded, or conflict has become the default, therapy can help you find your way back to each other or help you move forward with clarity and respect.
Divorce & separation — Ending a relationship is one of the hardest things a family can go through. We provide support that helps couples navigate the process with as much care and dignity as possible, especially when children are involved.
Blended families — Bringing two families together is a beautiful thing; and a complicated one. We help blended families build new rhythms, set healthy boundaries, and develop the trust that takes time to grow.
Parent-child conflict — When the relationship between a parent and child feels stuck, strained, or distant, therapy can open up lines of communication that feel closed. We work with families to rebuild connection and understanding across generations.
Grief & loss as a family — Loss affects every member of a family differently, and those differences can pull people apart at the very moment they need each other most. We help families grieve together and support one another through it.
Communication & conflict resolution — Sometimes the issue isn't what you're fighting about; it's how. We help couples and families develop the tools to disagree without damage, listen without defensiveness, and say what they mean in ways that can actually be heard.
What to expect
Your first session is a chance for everyone to share their perspective and for us to get a sense of the full picture. From there, we'll work together to identify what's getting in the way and what you're working toward. Sessions may involve the whole family, just the couple, or individual members depending on what's most helpful at any given stage.
There's no perfect family. There's no perfect relationship. What matters is the willingness to show up and do the work, and we'll be right there with you.
